Okta is a platform that securely connects employees, partners, and customers to the applications and tools they need in a single sign-on format. This means that our employees, partners, and customers will only need to remember one password to sign in to their applications/tools.
What are the Benefits of Okta?
Single Sign-On
Okta will immediately eliminate the need to remember multiple passwords for all your different accounts. This includes Retail.net and TrailGuide. This means that Okta will begin moving us towards a true "one-password to rule them all" environment.
User Provisioning/Deprovisioning
Okta automates the account creation and deletion/disablement for most core applications. This allows new employees to be able to access their required applications, programs, and mailboxes on day one, rather than waiting for your IT ticket to be fulfilled. Our IT team can dedicate more time to improving platform experiences and creating new features rather than creating and removing users.
Self-Service Account Unlocks and Password Resets
With Okta, you won't need IT to unlock your account or reset your password. If you enroll in either SMS (Phone) or Okta Verify Multi-Factor authentication, you can unlock your account or reset your password without the need to call anyone. Taking advantage of this feature is entirely optional but we recommend setting it up.
Employee Dashboard
The Okta dashboard houses all of the applications for your current role. We plan on making improvements and adding additional applications/automation features over time. Keep in mind, as we add more applications, we are able to eliminate more passwords that you have to remember.
Security Hardening
Okta allows us to bring better and more lenient end-user security policies (such as lengthening our 90 day password expirations and 30 minute lockouts).
Direct Connections
Okta integrates directly into our HR system UltiPro. Once changes are pushed to user accounts in UltiPro, they flow directly into Okta. This allows for faster and more accurate data updates to your account when changing positions, moving stores, getting promoted, etc.

What is Okta SSO (Single Sign-On)?
Okta SSO lets you sign in to the Okta Dashboard to access all your apps. Once you sign in, you no longer have to authenticate separately to access all apps linked with Okta. Okta manages all your application credentials and securely logs you into those apps. Simply click on one of your tiles (applications) and Okta will log into that application for you.

What is my username and password for Okta?
Your username will be your UltiPro EmployeeID number and your password will be the same as your Window's/email login password.
How do I unlock my Okta account?
If you’re locked out of your account but still remember your password, go to sportsmans.okta.com and select "Unlock Account?" at the bottom of the sign-in page. You may receive a prompt to re-authenticate with a password and other security methods configured for your organization. Submit a ticket on the Ivanti Service Portal or send an email to [email protected], in case of any issues.
How do I reset my Okta password?
If you need can't remember your Okta password, go to sportsmans.okta.com and select "Forgot Password?" at the bottom of the sign-in page. It will ask you for your username (which is your employee ID) and another security method configured for your organization. What is Multi-Factor Authentication?
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security practice that requires more than one authentication method from different categories of credentials to verify a user’s identity. A "factor" refers to a method of verifying your identity. The most basic type of factor is a password. Sportsman's Warehouse has selected three additional factors: Okta Verify, Phone (text or call), and Security Questions.
What are the benefits of MFA?
MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account. If hackers access a user’s credentials, they still require access to the user’s phone, Okta Verify app, or security key before hackers can access your company’s data. MFA makes it hard to hack your account.
Which MFA factors does Okta support?
Okta supports many factors, such as passwords, security questions, login codes sent using mobile apps such as Okta Verify, and biometrics.
What is Okta Verify?
Okta Verify is an MFA app developed by Okta that protects your data, ensuring that only you can access your app accounts. You can install Okta Verify on mobile and desktop devices. You can use Okta Verify to confirm your identity with either a push notification sent to your mobile device or a passcode sent to Okta Verify app.
How can I download the Okta Verify app?

What is the Okta plugin?
The Okta plugin is a browser application that you can install and use as a part of your web browser to allow even more seamless connections between apps. These plugins are sometimes called Browser Extensions (Chrome, Safari) or AddOns (Mozilla Firefox).
Do I have to use the Okta plugin?
We recommend using the Okta plugin because it can help you access your apps faster than through the Okta Dashboard. The Okta plugin can autofill usernames and passwords for apps where the admin has configured a username or password for you.
